DOD decides that it can no longer support retirement checks to living retirees or their dependents, what are you going to do?

The first thing the comes to mind is find a great lawyer. I realize that this may come as a shock to many of you, but most of us do depend on this source of income as our primary means of living after retirement. We planned and worked for this benefit and do depend upon it.

Although I do have other retirement income and savings, that is mainly a supplement to my primary retirement check. No enlisted person (and very few officers) puts in 20 or more years in the Armed forces and has enough extra money to put into a significant other retirement program without a lot of prior planning. After 30 years ACDU, not a lot extra was invested. My civilian job after retiring from Navy did help, but not enough to offset this much loss.

End of whine.

God would hope that would come only after all welfare recipients received that notice first.
