Why does President Obama still say "ISIL" not "ISIS"?

I believe either is more or less acceptable. ISIL = Islamic State in the Levant while ISIS = Islamic State in Iraq & Syria. If not mistaken, the Levant is a larger area than just Iraq & Syria, to encompass a fair portion of the entire Middle east.

It is a subtle way of disrespecting Israel. The area known as "the Levant" includes Syria AND the land of the State of Israel.
