I'll admit it's not a very patriotic thing to do, but it's definitely an AMERICAN thing to do... I'll be visiting the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year over Independence Day... and even though it's not necessarily patriotic, I will be remembering what it means to be free AND (more importantly) the awesome responsibilities that come with freedom!

SHAPE is celebrating with a fest. All of the US, and other NATO nations, are invited to attend. There will even be a fireworks show in the evening. I think that it is important, especially when overseas, to gather together with friends, both new and old, and celebrate the independence of our nation. If we do not hold onto and celebrate our traditions, they will fade away. That will be an injustice to those who have served before us.
