This is directed to Veterans.
I submitted a request for copies of my 201 file, DD214 and all my Military Awards on May 2014.
Through the NPRC at St Louis, MO.

I was wondering if any Veteran here did the same.
My question is about how long did it take you to receive your request?

Thank you all for your responses, I just got an email thinking it was going to take longer, but to my surprise it read as follows:

Thank you for contacting the National Personnel Record Center. We have received your request for information and we are working on your request. The estimated date of completion is approximately 9/4/2014. Please allow 5-7 business days mailing time.

Thanks

Once you down load the Standard Form-180 and fill it out, print it and you can fax it as I did, you will get an email that reads as follows:

Thank you for submitting a request to the National Personnel Records Center.

Please send us your signature to authorize the release of the information. You may fax it to us at [login to see] or you may mail it to us at:
NPRC-WEB,
1 Archives Drive,
St. Louis,
MO 63138-1002.

After the waiting period if you wish to find out the status you can email to find out the status at this email address: [login to see]
here's the link:

The Form SF-180 has the mailing address if you elect to mail it.

This link may get you going in the right direction MAJ Michael Bui It gives all the ST Lois addresses on the page for each branch. I just did it myself. If you do it on line you still have to fax/mail a signature verification card before the process starts. It says to allow 90 days for processing.

It took me 6 weeks to get my records.

It took a little longer to get my grandfather's records.
