My unit has recently made a change to our SUTA policy. For a MUTA2 we would have to come in two days. For example, if I needed to SUTA a weekend drill, MUTA4, I would need to make up four days. Do other units do this as well?

They are trying to discourage split training. A UTA is a UTA. Yes, technically they can keep you all weekend to satisfy 4 UTA's in a drill weekend. It is unusual, unless you are in the field, travelling... but it does have legal standing. Best bet is to plan to make regularly scheduled drills if you want to get credit for less work time.

Never saw that type of requirement. Your full time CofC must have a reason. Granted that does seem unfair. It could be that due to full time requirements they don't have someone to supervise you for an 8 hr period or you are being utilized for recruiting or some other purpose that only requires a UTA.
Generally SNCOs and Os don't require supervision when doing a SUTA or do a SUTA as part of staff call or other senior leader function. Once in a while we would do a MUTA-3 on a weekend because the AG would hold a mandatory SNCO/O call on an off weekend or during the week. Same thing with YTP. We would hold a state-wide YTP meeting on an off drill weekend so all SNCOs/Os could attend.

Absolutely SSG (Join to see) and SPC (Join to see) You can't be in a pay status and not get paid, that's illegal. ADOS is a separate pay status and can't be combined with UTAs. This is really getting into the S1 weeds. Have you spoken to your Bn S-1/PAC NCO? This to me isn't passing the common sense test, but I only know things from a command perspective and there maybe other things in play here.

MAJ Petarca, No Sir. I have not. I have only recently became aware that perhaps what my unit was doing may be a little off. I had trust in my leadership that they were conducting this properly. It was not until I started ADOS that numerous individuals here were bringing to my attention that this was NOT okay.

It just came to me when replying to SGT Richard Ellis. This policy could be a way of discouraging SUTAs. Though I've never seen the strict enforcement of 1 UTA =1 active duty day enforced, it apparently can be. I as a CCdr, nor any of my colleagues I served with ever did that or had a policy like that because things happen. Just a thought.

MAJ Robert (Bob) Petrarca, in MyUnitPay, the code should not be changed. When generating the DA1379, SPC (Join to see)'s attendance code automatically shows up as 'C' for constructive credit, it applies to T32/T10 AGRs as well.
Each unit is responsible for generating their DA1379. It is true that although she is making up a MUTA 4, she will not be receiving extra pay, she is already getting paid while on T10 As for retirement points, she is earning one retirement for each day on T10 orders for active duty.
Coming in 8 hours a day for 4 days, if I'm understanding this, to complete a MUTA-4, is unheard of. It would be completed in 2 days for 8 hours each or 4 hours each day for 4 days. Not to mention the person entering this into MyUnitPay is going to have a field day
Also you should have kept a copy of your ADOS packet, if you had to fill one out, there should have been some additional guidance regarding drill attendance with your unit. Most G-1's that I remember, put out additional guidance for going on ADOS(T32/T10) tours in addition to the PPOM's published here:
https://g1arng.army.pentagon.mil/POLICIES/PPOMHRH/Pages/default.aspx
SPC (Join to see), when you have chance I would also request a copy of your NGB Form 23B, ARMY NATIONAL GUARD RETIREMENT POINTS HISTORY STATEMENT. This will have your current MMSI code(MILITARY MEMBERSHIP STATUS IDENTIFIERS), which in this case would be a 'B2'(Army National Guard Mobilized Service) or 'B4'(Army National Guard Active Duty under Title 32 USC, State Controlled). I don't know what your orders read, so best guess estimate.
Your unit should be reviewing that statement with everyone one their AYE(annual year ending date) and scanning into your iPERMS or whatever its called now. This is important because not only can it verify you attended drill(IDT Column on your NGB 23B) but verify you have enough points for a good year and to retire from the ARNG. (Soldier must have 50 points minimum for a good retirement year) Meanwhile on T10, the IDT points are irrelevant and you will have a good year anyways provided you remain on orders.
Out of curiosity i'd like to see that policy.
