Is there a regulation covering the multi cam uniform?

I want to know what ar to quote, if I wear multi cam's with sand t-shirt and sand belt with the sand boots.

Once upon a time, there was a lonely ALARACT which said you couldn't mix
and match ACU/OCP patches.
ALARACT 086/2015 (which expired 15 MAY 2016) directed G-1 to incorporate
that guidance in DA PAM 670-1 (10 APRIL 2015) NLT 1 JULY 2015.
They did, kind of, on 25 May 2017, but it now only says that the U.S. Army
insignia and the nametape must be of a "camouflage pattern that matches the
uniform." Whereas the ALARACT specified "INSIGNIA AND ACCOUTERMENTS"
(everything) must match, the DA PAM which supersedes the expired ALARACT
only restricts the US ARMY and nametape. There is no such restriction for
unit or combat patches other than they must be "subdued." If you want, I
hear a yellow dry erase marker makes it match.

However, "The wear out date for the UCP ACU is 30 September 2019."

SSG(P) (Join to see) One question Sergeant, before asking this question, did you take the time to look it up yourself? It only took me 5 seconds to google multicam alaract. Or trying to find the answer yourself first has become a lost act

Wouldn't asking your peers and SMEs be using available resources to find an answer? I agree, it didn't take me long to find it but if you have a message board of a million fellow service members, Veterans, and retirees at your disposal, why wouldn't you use it as well? The AR doesn't cover it and not everyone knows what an ALARACT is, including some people in command positions. I know asking a question on a BB seems a foreign concept to most of us "older" guys. It wasn't something we grew up with and may seem lazy to some of us, but it is a modern research source for those younger than us.

SFC (Join to see) I totally agree that peers and forums and boards are there, but I think that first the individual should try to find the information and then if he/she can't find it or does not understand something, then you go ask to your left and right, online or whatever

SFC (Join to see) - I don't disagree, but a lot of people don't know what a ALARACT is. It's hard to search for something if you don't know what it is. When we went from BDUs to ACUs there were dozens of them but plenty of people who didn't know about any of them. If he didn't search for it, he should have. I won't jump to conclusions about that but he did use a valuable resource to find the answer.
