Most iconic firearm - The AK47 - recognizable in every conflict for over a half century.

Most iconic equipment - The jeep - Synonymous for lightweight off road military style vehicles since WWII. Even vehicles that aren't jeeps are called jeeps.

The Ak-47 and the Jeep. Very good choices. I picked the M16 because of its iconic status with Americans, but the AK-47...well that has global recognition.
