Have you looked on https://mobcop.army.mil/tod/#? The requirements for a given deployment are listed under each listing.
The other way in the Guard is word of mouth. A commander may ask another commander if he/she has any troops that would be interested in filling slots they need. News of deployments travels rather quickly, and slots fill fast, as they are hard to come by these days. It's hard to get on one as a new soldier as commanders are often looking to fill their ranks with experienced soldiers, and as a PV2 you most likely don't have the personal connections to hear about upcoming opportunities.
Make sure that your leadership knows that you are interested in deploying, make sure you stay physically fit, keep your mind right, and learn your MOS. That's the best advice I can give you.
Good luck to you.

And just like that SSgt (Join to see), you switched branches of service on us! And, you're now a staff sergeant! Congratulations!

LTC Stephen C. - It's only in a name, the Air Force calls an E-5 staff sergeant, I found out! I did actually pass up a rocker to pursue a new career, but was thankful to be able to keep my rank.

I knew it was the same grade, SSgt (Join to see)! You've got to give me a little credit! I'm retired, not senile...yet! I did conclude that a smart soldier like you had a plan, though! Congratulations, again!

LTC Stephen C. - I've got a hard time reading jokes, sir; you'll have to cut me some slack.

Not be on dwell time
Medically cleared
If single and have kids have a care plan
That unit going on deployment needs someone of your MOS
