My whole issue with this is the Ready Shoot Aim mentality. This is a huge paradigm shift for the military establishment. I am not saying it is wrong or right...my personal feelings on the issue do not matter...The decisions have been made and it is time to move out. My issue is with implementation. Policies were changed and then thrown over the fence and said live with it and make it happen. There are numerous things that have to change to include guidance for leadership, uniform wear, restroom/locker room usage, transgender roles in traditionally one gender classifications...this doesn't even scratch the surface. Too many changes at once cause an uproar. We made too many changes without any guidance so people are making it up as they go. As you can see from the posts below like CW3 Mueller where timelines and guidance are essentially slow or nonexistent. That effects morale on all sides of the issue. In the absence of guidance there is a vacuum that will suck up everything around it and fill the void. Another final analogy is that with this issue they measured it with a micrometer, marked it with a crayon, and cut it with a chain saw. Now we have to figure out how to fix the rough edges of the cut.

PO1 (Join to see) - The failure of the guidelines to make room for individuals with disorders of sexual development and/or intersex individuals along side transgender individuals. I foresee no reason the two groups should not be equally accepted by the military - but new rules make no accommodation for medical acceptance of DSD/IS individuals. Warmest Regards, Sandy :)
