If you have a child in DEERS, but don't have your name on the birth certificate, will that child be able to get command sponsored?

I was told that he will not start the command Sponsership with out it fixed but I'm in Italy and they are in the states I feel like it could still be done with out my name on the birth certificate. I just need to find out what needs done that I can do or what I can say to them

I got mine sponsored because I married the Mother and the child was from a previous marriage... but still my step son...
till the little bastard tried to shoot me...

I have two children that do not have my last name, but I am their father, ( they are adopted ), so I do not know if that changes anything. Talk to a staff attorney about this predicament.

I would say go through your S1 they should be able to fix the birth certificate their and forward it back state side
