I have a few questions about my ompf, I'm going to try my best to explain my problems maybe someone can help me out with a few questions.
- I was TDY for my deployment, I have my memorandum in my ompf. Where should it go with in my ompf? right now its under "service" and it reflects "military service"
- does my SSI- FWTS go in my ompf and if so where at? mine is in my ompf but its under "awd doc"

Your SSI-FWTS does not go your OMPF (that is your specific unit(s)), but your combat and operational deployments do. It your were TDY, the SSI are specific WRT TDY. But, to be safe, it is better to have the documentation you mention in there, than not.
AR 670-1 states:
28-17, b(14):
Soldiers who were deployed in the area of operations on training exercises or in support of operations other than Iraqi Freedom are not authorized the SSI-FWTS, unless those exercises or operations became combat or support missions to Operation Iraqi Freedom.

And:

Appendix F
Shoulder Sleeve Insignia–Former Wartime Service (SSI–FWTS)
F–1. Applicability.
This guidance applies to soldiers of all components (Active, ARNG and USAR) that deploy during periods of service
designated for wear of the SSI–FWTS, in accordance with paragraph 28–17.
F–2. General.
a. There is no time-in-theater requirement to be authorized to wear the SSI–FWTS.
b. A deployed unit that is authorized to wear an SSI in its own right (or an organic component thereof), in
accordance with para 28–16, will wear that unit’s SSI as the SSI–FWTS. This is true regardless of whether the
headquarters element deploys, and regardless of the number of changes to the unit’s alignment or operational control
(OPCON) during the period of deployment.
c. When a unit not entitled to its own SSI deploys, the OPCON relationship prior to deployment is terminated, and a
new OPCON relationship is established. Members of these units will wear the SSI of the lowest echelon deployed unit
entitled to an SSI in each of their new deployed chains of command as their SSI–FWTS.
d. When there is no intermediate unit that has its own SSI in the deployed chain of command, members of units not
entitled to their own SSI will wear the SSI of the senior Army command in the theater as their SSI–FWTS.
e. Soldiers who are cross-leveled, assigned, attached, or augmenting deployed units, and soldiers who are TDY on
orders through the use of DD Form 1610 (Request and Authorization for TDY Travel of DOD Personnel) will wear the
same SSI–FWTS worn by members of the deployed unit(s) to which attached or OPCON. This does not apply to
members of Trial Defense and CIDC, who will wear the SSI of their respective commands as their SSI–FWTS.
f. Soldiers authorized to wear more than one SSI–FWTS may choose which SSI–FWTS they wear. Soldiers also
may elect not to wear the SSI–FWTS.
g. Precedence was established in Vietnam for elements organic to, or an integral part of an organization to wear the
organizational SSI as their SSI–FWTS.

COL Williams,

First off, thank you for the information.
so I was deployed to OEF and got the SF and USASOC SSI-FWTS for them both being in Afghanistan.
however, to be safe for the board coming up I'm just going to have it removed because my "memorandum for deployed service" should cover my deployment. my deployment patch is not technically on my erb. so thank you.

SFC (Join to see) - Roger... No one really cares what patch you wear... Rather, are you authorized to wear a patch. I would recommend you check the latest 670-1s...

COL Charles Williams - Sir, exactly! It does not matter all deployed and served the country proudly. just more concerned with this iperms. what I'm going to do is take this out of my iperms and just ensure I have my awards and memo. as long as my ompf has everything that's on my erb that should be G2G. thank you sir for your insight.

SFC (Join to see) - So long as your OMPF and your ERB match, you will be fine. Good Luck. Last time I was in Iraq, we actually had Congressionals filed about combat patches... I told every Soldier who asked... go to Clothing sales, buy whatever patches you like, and wear them... No one cares what unit you were in... except you... So long as you can wear one... what does it matter. The main issue, is... is it allowed, not which one(s).

I do apologize for the grammatical errors and spelling. should have put it in Microsoft word and checked to ensure I had less mistakes then what I have seen just by rereading it.

I actually have more to the post, I apologize in advance.
-I have a associates degree I just finished in august does I need my transcript and certificate in my ompf?

-I also have my physical fitness badge memo in my ompf under "awd doc" do I need that in my ompf? especially under performance where to board will see it?

-I also have three certificates that are for my direct CMF but not military ed or ASE(that I know of and not according to ARMY COOL) should that just go under liscense or profession certification? or should I just leave them in the 40 hour or more course section?
I apologize for these questions I'm just trying to ensure my iperms are the best I can possibly get them. and some of these questions I have looked up at hrc site and the excel spread sheet they have posted. I figured someone would be able to answer some of these questions for me and lead me in the right direction.
