What are some of the biggest misunderstandings that civilian employers have about transitioning veterans?

For me, it has been walking the line of love of country and not having it misconstrued for something xenophobic. An example of this is not speaking with disdain about the country that I served with honor when it was fashionable for others around me do. Attempting to be apolitical gets rationalized as the gung-ho military type...

PO3 Daniel Stone I have never tried to be politically correct. I love our country, and for those that do not, tough, I don't care. I have been called hard nosed, gung-ho, etc., and it does not bother me. It is like water rolling off of a ducks back.

Well, my only post military employer has been made up from all prior military, so I can't really speak from experience. But, I'm sure civilian employers probably have the same misconceptions as regular civilians.
In that case, I would guess that the biggest misunderstanding is that we've all killed someone or that we're all unhinged PTSD-ridden time bombs that are one bag of popcorn popping from going full Rambo on an office full of people.
