Since Halloween is around the corner, I thought I'd have a little fun — and ask you to tell about any Interview Horror Stories you may have experienced — as the interviewer or the interviewee! You know...the one that made you say "did that really just happen?"

I was at a recent interview and the technical guru started tearing me apart. "Well after almost 20 years, why are you only a Microsoft SQL developer?" "If I pulled someone off the street, are you confident that you have better skills than them?" "I'm going to say that you have zero experience in this area." God, I could not wait to get out of that interview.

I answered an ad for a construction worker. Guy tells me to go to such and such an adress at 6:30 on such and such day. I go there and sit down in the guys office, he asks me a few questions. I don't remember how many many there were, maybe 3 or 4. Him--"Do you have a drivers license?" Me--"Yes". Him--"Alright, lets go. Grab your lunch box." Me--"I thought this was an interview?" Him--"DO YOU WANT THIS F***ING JOB OR NOT!!!???" Me--"Umm, I guess" "THEN GET IN MY F***ING TRUCK, I DON'T HAVE TIME TO F*** AROUND!!" I had to drive his truck to the job site as he didn't have a drivers license. I should have walked out. I didn't need a job that bad. I couple months later I quit because he was shorting my pay.
