I missed the cutoff by a couple weeks; however, for me its a moot point as last year I started using my Post 9/11 GI Bill to get my MBA. I am glad that for those who might be positively affected by this when they decide to further their education at some point down the road, they need not worry about that benefit's clock winding down on them.

I have been fortunate enough to have my entire higher education paid for by TA and military graduate programs. That being said, I have 14 years in and I have two young kids both under 2 yrs old. This will allow me to transfer to them without fear of losing it past the 10 years after I possibly retire.
