Is this job security for many of us? Is our govt ready too commit long-term to this next campaign? Is this our 2nd or 3rd push into Iraq, pretty sure it's #3. I'm of the firm belief we either commit long-term or don't bother at all. We are either all in or not in at all. What are your thoughts? The liberals must be reeling from this latest news. Let's see if Congress approves this next budget extension....any guesses on the outcome? Care to post your guess...

SSG(P) (Join to see), I think this probably is the start of something more long-term. I believe there's support for defeating ISIS in Congress and the White House, so there will be more money coming for that. That's a semi-educated guess.

With newly (impressionable/somewhat gullible) elected officials coming in, not sure how much skin they are willing to risk.....regardless, its still our boots that'll be on the ground when all is said and done while those same elected officials will be sipping and tipping their Macchiato and Cappuccinos while we are chowing down on those MRE's LTC (Join to see) enjoys so much.

Personally speaking, I think that they have sent the message that they have made their decisions and we as a Nation must protect ourselves. Unfortunately there is only one way that will happen. Commitment and Long Haul. It will be costly in many ways.

A conversation with a Muslim college classmate, Me: "This will be a 10 year war". Him: "Mike, this war can never end. As soon as you guys pull out, the strongest faction will overthrow the govt."I believe we were both correct.
