Yes they will. They will do an audit with DFAS to come up with the appropriate amount of back pay given your retired status. I would calmly suggest to those who find grammar appalling that we do not know the specifics of this service member's disability or how it effects his ability to communicate. What we do know is that he is in need of assistance and we, as leaders, are duty bound to provide said assistance to the best of our ability. Semper Fi.

MSG Stan Hutchison It is clear you didn't see his original posted question which is now clear and understandable. LTC Kevin B. saw the question right after I did and agreed. Now after he has rewritten the question it is nothing like it originally was. I can understand it now. So he gets proper advice. I guess I must have given good advice to begin with.

I agree with SGM Mikel Dawson. Your question is not very clear, and your grammar only confused what you're trying to ask. Are you referring to your effective for promotion to E-4? What kind of "letter" are you talking about? What happened between November 2012 and November 2017? Were you still being paid as an E-3? I'm confused by what you might actually be asking.

I am retired. The VA had sent me an unmistakable error letter saying my disability effective date was wrong. When i wrote this question it was saying in red little words that it was too much and needed to be specific on my question. But any who, I was wondering about the retroactive pay due to the fact that i was rated 50% from 2011 to oct. 2017. Now they made me 60% last month but this CUE letter thast i received in the mail stated my effective date was wrong and it should have been november 2012 and not 2017 and was wondering are thaey going to back pay.

CPL James de la Cruz - Okay. I adjusted your question to make it more clear. Feel free to tweak it if I've missed anything. Also, if you go back to edit the question, you can also provide a supporting narrative in the "Details" section. You don't need to fit everything into the title.
