Forbes Magazine came out with their list of the Top 10 Stressful Jobs. Apparently, serving in the military is stressful. Who knew?

I find it funny that it took a survey or listing of this sort to determine that we as members of the military have a very stressful job or career.

Think about it, other than a police officer, what other job from the day you are hired do you risk being shot or killed everyday, and I mean that it in the traditional sense of the job, as a Soldier or military member when you sign the dotted line, you are aware of the possibility of going to combat and putting your life on the line for your country.

It shouldn't take something like this for the country/world and our citizens to know or be told this.

I think this is a survey based off of an entire picture of a job, so each exterme and what is in between. What part of the Army is easy and relaxed; an automated pay system with almost guareented pay, decent health care. What is in between; micromanagement of professional and personal events, linear promotions based primarily on seniority. The extreme bad; risking ones body and/or life, long times away from family, and no ability to quit your position if unhappy. What lies inbetween and on the extreme bad far out weigh the relaxing parts of the job. If it doesn't make you happy it makes you stressed.
