So, I've been tasked by my boss on establishing a Gantt Chart for a personal/career development progress tracker or model for one of our new captains who just in-processed into our Branch and PCA'd from main base. Anyone have an idea how I can format it for the next two years? I need some ideas on formatting and spreadsheet templates. It has been racking my brain on how I can develop a good baseline for a two-year officer project development. Thanks in advance!

There may be more sophisticated programs out there, but MS Excel should have everything you need to get the job done. There are some great tutorials on YouTube.

Yes, I was going to go with Excel for now since I am still waiting for MS Project to be installed on my computer. Thanks for your input.

When you need more, tell !e, I'll try to help you find it...also, elaborate, so far as you can, in concrete terms...what AFSC is he at least generally, what coirsework is he to do, what !milestones is he to achieve, and how fast for each...look up!also something called PERT/CPM, CPM is critical path !method, it's a scheduling approach in quantitative mgmt, used for construction projects, that also finds use in such HR related efforts, if you want !e to explain, I can trust !ez there are numerous Wikipedia, freeware, and shareware pages devoted to software for it, as well as on the Source forge open source site, I'm here if you need help, give me your thoughts, elaborate so far as feasible, I'm here if you want help, OK?
