Hi. Went to MEPS last year. MEDPROS was red. Why did they not update medpros with vision, hearing, etc.? Had to do a virtual visit to get MEDPROS updated. Just noticed my hearing was never updated. LHI won't do it.

Why is MEPS not updating MEDPROS? Checked out AR 40-501.

2. Other than required medical surveillance and readiness monitoring, the periodic health assessment is not required for an individual who has undergone a medical examination within 1 year, the scope of which is equal to or greater than that of the required periodic health assessment.

Is the Army paying for people to have a PHA right after they went through MEPS?

If you are willing to travel then you can call ft Polk and get a PHA done. I just went back through MEPS and Reenlisted in February. I showed up red on my PHA and my unit is deploying. My unit read detachment had me schedule to take the PHA with them MAY 19th but I called ft Polk on a Friday and they told me to come Monday and I got my PHA done last week. So if you want it done and willing to drive you can schedule you own. I did and now my unit cutting me orders to leave next week.

So let me know if you are willing to drive and I’ll help. Also it was free!
