I am at my HYT, and have tested for the last time for MSgt. I have accepted that there is a reality that I would have to retire, and have almost embraced it. The problem is, I am not so sure anymore. I don't know that I can say the things that I was looking forward to retiring for weren't just selfish wants. I know I want to continue with my medical training, and push on toward my DNP, but I might get hit in the next couple of weeks with having to make the decision of "stay the course and retire, or accept the promtion and press on". How many days do they give you to make that kind of decision?

Congratulations any way you decide. It will be hard to decide but think of your future and where you will be 5 years from now

Just as a follow up, I found out today that I don't have to worry about making a choice. I was 7 points shy of selection. Time for me to focus on my move to Colorado, and getting into a good nursing program.
