An O-6 recommend that I take this course recently announced in the latest Milper Message. To take this course, you must opt-in on the HRC home page. The schoolhouse then vets all the applicants and narrows it down to a small number that gets invited to attend the course in Washington DC in 2019. I hope to be one of the 9% that gets selected to go.

I'm hoping there are a few of you here that can tell me how this course went or you know someone who went to this course. This course is through National Defense University. They have some awesome podcasts available for anybody. If you want discussions from former ambassadors or subject matter experts with PhDs on issues concerning terrorism or other important foreign issues, Check it out!

Never heard of it, but sounds like it's geared to Reserves and Guard, so that makes sense why I haven't. Things may have changed, but in my days it was always an advantage, and sometimes mandatory, to take advantage of any PME you were qualified for. This sounds like a course you have to be selected for so that's an even better reason to pursue it IMO.

There is an active Duty 4 month course. But this National Defense University is geared toward the active duty as well and it works toward interagency operability and understanding. There is a possibility I may be a deputy Commander or Brigade so the Brigade Commander who's deciding on this suggested I take this course. It makes sense because interagency International operability and understanding is the key to success
