Where were you on 11 September 2001?

SFC Stephen King I had just gotten out of the Air Force the year before. I was sitting in my Illustration class in college (yes, I was an Art Major). I was the only one listening to the radio. When it was first reported I exclaimed, "Oh my God! Something bad is going on in NYC." By the time everyone had stopped, the second plane had hit. That's when I let them know this wasn't an accident. We pulled a TV into the room and just watched.

I was delivering dinner trays to my patients on the Med/Surg Ward at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center.

SFC Stephen King I was at work in Houston. We had TV monitors mounted on the walls throughout the building that were on during shuttle launches and landings. They were on for 9/11, and we watched the horrendous events with disbelief.
