SSG (Join to see), the obvious answer is yes. I'm not sure what you're asking. Can you clarify your question / point?

Generally a schoolhouse or institutional training assignment is a good "broadening" assignment. If you have leader time, then a broadening assignment often makes you more competitive for choice assignments and promotion. Don't pass up the opportunity,

SSG (Join to see) most school NCO positions are collateral duty or additional duty at the unit level. That means it's not actually an MTOE slotted position. Having said that, performing this duty could be a broadening experience and can be beneficial. But it also depends on where you are in your career. Are you being looked at for SFC? What are your most recent NCOER positions and what rating did you receive? If you do take the position, don't stay in it for more than 1 year, get back to your MOS. Look at you career map to see what type of positions you should be filling.
