I recently got pinned E-6 and have my SSD3 completed. It took forever for me to get a slot for ALC so i figure that if I start now when I am eligible for promotion I won't have school holding me back. Thank you in advance.

All of the DLs are 40 hour course and usually give you 8 weeks to complete them.

You will not be able to enroll into SLC Phase 1 until you have been selected for SFC. I know this first hand because I tried the same thing once upon a time ago and was rejected because I was not on the PPRL based on the STEP program. I'm not sure exactly how long it is good for, though. What I do know is that there was this SSG in my last unit that was selected, completed Phase 1 SLC, dropped from the PPRL after 2 years because she didn't complete Phase 2 (her MOS has extremely limited seats) and had to be re-boarded. She is attending Phase 2 this summer and did not have to redo Phase 1. So, based on her situation, I would say SLC Phase 1 is good for at least two years.

Since The ARMY likes to change things now and then.
And people some times have outdated info.
You might want to call the SCHOOL HOUSE tour self and get the info stright from them, And so if they of any changes that MIGHT be coming up.
Also so if you can get a copy of all the info. You can share it with your schools N.C.O. and other 68w that you know.
