Could use some advice on this question, particularly from my seniors.

Should our Commander in Chief gain the legal powers to place boots on the ground to fight ISIS/ISIL, how do I go about volunteering to be a pair of those boots?

I simply hate the idea of everything our brothers and sisters paid for in Iraq being wasted. Any advice out there?

SSG (Join to see) Unless it is politically expedient to do so, this administration is most likely not going to put boots on the ground in Iraq.

If I may ask, I am doing a research project about ISIS, Was there a defining moment that caused yo to want to go back into Iraq. All my information I obtain for my research is confidential. I am just trying to get a consensus of what is motivating members of the armed forces and veterans to want to fight ISIS.

I wish you luck in getting where you want to be.

If confidentiality is your selling point....then we are going to need to find an alternate medium to communicate, since Rally Point (I use the android app) doesn't have enough functionality for me to send you a direct message across this particular social media.

If you use this site on a PC, then perhaps you could message me first with your questions and I can respond to you directly, and out of the public domain.

The questions aren't confidential. I was merely referring to the fact that I will not be using any information in my research that personally identifiable. I will only be using demographic data for the quantitative portion of my research and generalizing the qualitative information I obtain.

If you prefer, I will PM you with the questions.

There is rumors that President Obama is working on sending an authorization to Congress to fund combat operations against this group of thugs. From reading the article the Army Times published there is some contention in the wording.

On volunteering I do not know how you would do that off the top of my head.

I thoughts about asking branch, but getting a response on something this ambiguous would be almost an act of God.

SSG (Join to see) I tired that back in 2003 before the invasion and wound up in Korea.
