I have been on hold now for 55 minutes and just hearing the "if you'd like submit a ticket online". Well if I could do that I would not be calling....

What are your helpdesk pet perves?

A few years ago, I had bought a Dell laptop. It was very nice. Had it for about a week when it decided to give me the blue screen of death on power up. Called the help desk and was speaking to someone in India (first massive irritation). After explaining the problem, he stated he could have me fixed in 20 mikes...........after I pay an addition 200 bucks to get it fixed. So, I told him to have a nice day and hung up. Took the 600 dollar paperweight back to the store and got a full refund.

My pet perve........most help desk don't or can't help you so they transfer you to a different country where you can't understand what they are saying anyway!

The worst "help desk" is the VA, because you can never seem to successfully get out of the telephone menu. Just when you think you're finally going to speak with someone, a message comes on telling you that all representatives are busy...call some other time. THAT, is the most aggravating - they don't even provide the opportunity to stay on hold until the next representative is available.
