Anyone know how long it takes to get orders once your 56-R is signed?

Selected for O5, have paragraph/line number. The boss just signed my 56-R (promotion qualification and verification statement). Anyone know how long it takes for that to make it's way through the system?

Is there a standard time frame or does it just depend on how "high speed" you S1 shop is? Will it sit for a month on a desk at G1? I can start drawing retirement in just over 3 years and would like to get in my "high 3" without having to stay too much longer than I have to.

Sir, it's all in how quickly your supporting G1 shop processes the packet. If you are at division or higher level it tends to be quicker because a G-shop can send directly to HRC. If you are at brigade or lower, there can be delays routing through ePAT.
As a point of reference, one of our Majors came out on the list with you. The turnaround time was about two weeks from submitting from my S1 shop at brigade level to him receiving orders.

LTC Daren Walker - Good to know. I am at BDE level but I got an email from my DIV CO encouraging me to stay with the unit instead of looking elsewhere so he seems to be on top of things. Hopefully it won't take too long.
