What happened to researching an answer? What happened to networking inside and outside our units? I'm getting tired of seeing questions that could be answered by simply googling the reg and reading so that you not only know where to find it, you retain (or should retain) it as well.

Great point MSgt Joshua Copeland, The regs are our goto resource, but I know I have gone to those with more experience than myself for guidance and clarification on those regs. Due Diligence includes utilizing all your available resources, including those who may have more experience, or a broader perspective, or someone who is simply an impartial party.
I have always been thankful for those leaders and peers who are approachable and open to assist in those times, and this site is an amazing community of just that. We should encourage this behavior, not discourage it.

and I would argue that asking here IS using our "internal and external networks." By definition.
Moreover, a lot of Soldiers, and unfortunately a LOT of reservists, might not know WHAT reg, or reg series, to look in to find the answer.

Outside of a quick answer, some folks google-fu is weak. Other times, regs are not always as black and white as they appear. They often leave room for interpretation which could lead someone to ask a seemingly simple question here to get an experienced interpretation.
