So you're out the military. How are you doing? How's the social scene for you? Most of the time it can be difficult to make friends on "the outside", especially when they may or may not have a lot in common with your background.

So yeah, let's get real for a moment. How are you doing in this area of your post-military life?

I work with Reserve Soldiers, I have a lot of them coming off Active Duty that a big reason they are in the Reserves is to maintain a good connection with other Soldiers. It lets them continue with their civilian lives but still give them that comrade with other Soldiers.

So I have been out for a while now and I find it hard to connect with people in general. Just because we do not have a shared background coming from the military. I worked at a place for a couple of years where I was actually very comfortable and enjoyed the people. Mainly because most of them where ex-military and could relate. So I socialized with them inside and outside of work.
