If you are overweight, you'll get taped. If you pass tape, your're good. Since you are stating that you have to be no more than 150 lbs, I'm guessing you are between 17-20 years of age, so that means your maximum allowable body fat % is 30%. If you have to be taped, just be under 30%

Personally I think that the DoD has to change their h/w standars seing as how they haven’t changed since the Vietnam era (don’t quote me on that). I believe that as long as you don’t look like garbage in uniform and you pass your pt test (regardless of branch) it shouldn’t be an issue. I was in the Marines and I was out for a year and a half before coming to the Army, when I went to MEPS I had to get taped... seeing as how you’re only a handfull of pounds over I would try and cut it (sauna sauna sauna) but you should be good on tape. Best of luck on Tuesday though.

Try whatever you can as long as you are not hurting yourself, the most important is that you’re good physically and mentally fit ... PV2 (Join to see)

I can't believe the army would not accept a young volunteer that is 5 pounds over weight. The exercise and diet in Basic is almost a guarantee you will lose about 15 pounds more or less but you should be a little below 150 pounds.
