Seriously though, I just posted a comment on an thread, after getting a notification, and it's sandwiched between a comment 2 days old and 3 months old on Page 2? How does RP decide where a comment belongs? Random algorithms? Rank? Amount of words in a post? I think I'm replying to a current thread but I end up necroing something that's 3 months old.

I think it matters on how many likes. If 0 likes, it will be ahead of other 0 likes, but below any comment with a like.

It's kind of a nuisance to see someone's response to my response, but as MAJ Chang said, all it takes is clicking Newest.
