I'm pcsing to Camp Roberts soon and my sponsor says I have to stay at the barracks at Fort Hunter Liggett. How are the barracks at FHL?

The only barracks I know of are giant open bay barracks that can fit a large number of people. But, the last I was there was about 5 years ago.

I was at Camp Roberts and H-L about 3.5-4 years ago, and didn't stay in any barracks at H-L so I can't speak to those, but at Roberts, those ancient barracks (the ones you were allowed to enter and use because the others were literally falling down) were the definition of "old school". Not the crappiest barracks I've stayed in, but certainly in the running for Uncle Sam's worst.

Wasn't aware there were any active duty there since Ft Ord closed. Spent many days and night on Camp Roberts, and a few weeks on Hunter Liggett fighting the "Sandinistas," as I recall.
