Can my family move with me during AIT if it's 20 weeks long?

I want to join soon and the MOS that I really would love to do is 68x. Is 20 weeks long AIT. I was just wondering if I can somehow put my family to move with me and what are the requisites. Also, it's something you do with your recruiter or MEPS? Thanks

Nothing's stopping your family from moving nearby, but as a Soldier in training status you would still be expected to perform and train with your peers. That means you will still be assigned to the Barracks, you will still need to obtain a waiver to stay off base over the weekend, etc.
It sucks, but it's financially smarter to keep them where they are rather than uprooting them twice within a year when your PCS orders will only include them once. You'll be better off in the end if you have just a little more patience.

Asked a 1SG, unless your AIT was scheduled to be 6 months or longer then it is only a TDY move and not eligible for travel compensation for dependants.

Check with your recuiter. Do you want to move your family for 20 weeks then move again? It might be a time when you let them see what Army life is like.
Every AIT is different as far as free time and the hours of training. Before moving to the area, it is important to talk to others who have been through the same training to get an idea of the amount of time he will have to spend with family. It only increases frustration to know your fsmily is just around the corner but still can’t be visited if your AIT is very strict with personal time.

Thank you for your answer. My situation it's kinda different. My husband is already in the army. He's going to AIT bext year as well to change his MOS. My mom and my brother are going to stay with my son. They are coming from another country. I just though would be easier for them if I'm close. Also any chance, even if is it for 1 hour to see my son, would make a huge difference for me....

You need to talk with your recruiter ASAP about this I read that it is possible but I would recommend against it for numerous reasons.
