How to encrypt with S/MIME from outlook web app from personal computer ?

From personal computer chrome browser, I can easily do enterprise emails. But trying to set up encryption tool is not coming up.
There is instruction online to install/set up S/MIME in outlook.
OWA Options -> See All Options->S/MIME Control->Install
I can't even see the S/MIME option in the all options.
Anyone has found workaround ? Or it is not something possible to do from personal computer ?
Or How we supposed to send enterprise emails securely from home computer when we don't have privilege of government computer ?

This is only available on MS Internet Explorer.
And the workaround is for users to not encrypt any email that doesn't require encryption.

SGM Jeff, there was a need due to the PII stuffs. Getting IE on mac is another battle although there is IE simulation option.

My usual recommendation is to never buy a MAC when you can buy a Windows laptop for $250 with no compatibility problems.
That said, on older versions there is MS Internet Explorer for Mac as well as running a virtual machine with Windows on Mac.

SPC(P) (Join to see) you shouldn’t be doing any work on a personal computer that involves anyone else’s PII. That’s how spillage happens. Your computer can be compromised by a virus, botnet, or any other cyber attack and that leaves your PII data vulnerable. I can’t tell you how many times the VA has compromised the PII or millions of veterans due to someone taking their work home.

SFC (Join to see) I agree. This particular case was for myself doing some DD forms as part of annual certification. But I hear you LC.
SGM (Join to see) i consult militarycac.com most of the time. I guess Mac systems were not thought of while designing these DoD systems. But for my civilian job, mac has done amazing job.

I just noticed you are in the Army Reserves.
Another option is the Reserve Access Portal, a citrix VPN to ARNet.
You will need to establish an ARNet account at the unit if you do not already have one.
But this would allow you to safely do work that includes PII, and use Outlook for email.
