Which period in our nation's history demonstrated the worst level of Anti-American sentiment? Today? The 1960's? The 1860's?

Anti-American or Anti-Government?

I'd have to lean towards the 60's for Anti-Government, as the mass media capabilities changed the way people could see things. It's one thing to read about events. It's another thing to see them unfold.

In the 2000s, the world however became Anti-America in a lot of ways. We tend to forget we have neighbors, and we pissed off a lot of folks in the post 9-11 world.

1960's, Vietnam Era. The sensationalized media and bringing the war into living rooms had a polarizing effect.
