Is us china collision inevitable
After decades of maintaining a minimal nuclear force, China has re-engineered many of its long-range ballistic missiles to carry multiple warheads, a step that federal officials and policy analysts say appears designed to give pause to the United States as it prepares to deploy more robust missile defenses in the Pacific.

Why should we be afraid of China? After all didn't we give them "Most favored nation trade status" (Clinton, May 27, 1994). And to top that off, we've let them loan us so much money (As of March 2015, China held $1.261 trillion in U.S. Treasury Bonds.) why would they risk the chance of blowing up one of their biggest financial holding?

Concerned - yes.  That may change the balance of influence in the region and the world among the military powers.
