Rucksacks: What does your kit look like?

The only gal I know is ALICE!

I have a Granite Gear pack that I use for wilderness backpacking. It's more comfortable than any tactical ruck, but the colors and shape are completely unsuitable for military use. I have used the Alice, and own a couple of them, even though they were phased out well before I enlisted. I have relegated them both to canoe camping, as I won't carry them. For Army use, I'm love my large Molle. As 1LT Scott D. pointed out the plastic frame is flexible, but I think that's an advantage rather than disliking it. It makes the ruck more comfortable. Yes I have broken one, but I still like it. I have a piece of Oak and 550 cord and 100MPH tape holding it together until I DX it. Have used it this way for quite a while. Went for a two mile run yesterday with it, and my 4 year old son in the main compartment. Molle ruck will stand pretty hard use. It just won't stand being shot put launched into a truck while fully loaded, landing on the corner of the frame. That's what broke mine.
