How did the mission of Air Force Airborne Rescue Specialist/Firefighters (ABRs) and Pararescue differ?

AirForce Times Robert LaPointe, SMSgt Ret. said in his book "PJs in Vietnam," that all PEDRO flights had firefighters assigned. While PJs didn't perform Local Base Recovery missions, ABRs did conduct CSAR for downed aircrew.
