What is the process of returning to active duty after being removed from the teamporary disability retired list?

Asking the questions for my spouse who was medically retired and placed on the TDRL. She wants to return to active duty, her evaluation to either remain or be removed from the TDRL is due soon. We are wondering what the process would be if she was found fit to return to duty.
What are the big factors in being considered fit for duty?
Do you have to be in HW standards that day?
Do you get to choose your MOS or is it needs of the Army?
How long would it take before she is required to physically leave for re training?

Ok, so lets unwrap this.
Was she placed within a Soldier Recovery Unit, formally the WTU?
Will she still require care for the issue that retired her?
Did she receive a VA disability rating above 60%?
In being considered fit for duty, she must be cleared of the condition that retired her i.e. she cannot return to active duty if she will require a permanent profile.
Yes to HW
It depends on her break in service and the needs to the prior MOS and current Army strengths (Remember, Army is currently in a draw down since we left Afghanistan so MEPCOM and MEDCOM may be a little hesitant to allow her to re-enlist)
Nobody can answer the last question besides MEPS and a recruiter.

No she was never placed in a solider recovery unit. And her VA rating is 60% and her DOD is 40%. Her main issue is back problems, that since being retired have gotten better. She wants to join back but i was also thinking about how retention is right now and I don't want her to risk continued treatment if they wouldn't even let her return to active duty. But it's says if found fit, you can choose active duty or a severance payment. So are they allowed to eliminate the option?

SSG (Join to see) - Im being medically retired for back issues so i know the pain.
What she needs to consider is:
can she deadlift 140lbs 3 times, will this exacerbate her condition
If it was up to me, i wouldnt re-enlist and potentially reinjure myself. Just doesnt seem worth it. If its found that she will require continued treatment, she will not be found fit.
