Sir,
This year, The July 4th Independence Day Holiday meant a lot more than previous July 4th's for me. As those within our current administration and members of the current party controlling the Executive Branch have worked very hard to undermine our Constitution and culture.
Here, my family gave thanks to G-d the Father in Christ's name for our health and ability to protect ourselves. Being together grilling hamburgers and hotdogs. Spending time in the pool with ice cold water and assorted beverages. Reaching out to friends and family to acknowledge this day that brought freedom away from Dictatorial rule and placed the pursuit of happiness to be protected by government in the Constitution.
Sparklers for the kids are next when the Sun goes down. To remember, without those risking much, and some giving all, we would not all be free at present.
Our nation cannot go back in time to right wrongs. But we can move forward as a team with equality under the Law. This is my hope. But I worry many do not wish for unity.
May you and your family have a great rest of your July 4th Capt.

My wife and I go to the local VFW post in the county I'm originally from, watch the parade as it goes by the post, then we eat dinner there, and talk to people that we know that are there also Capt Brandon Charters

Living in Denmark, it is just another day, but I do post my colors. I got a flag pole, but it is illegal here to hoist colors of another country unless I get permission from the police, then I have to have a Danish flag the same size or larger, and have it above the U.S. flag. So I just post this way. No one has ever said anything.
