What actions should the US take against the Taliban for harboring Al Qaeda terrorists like Ayman al-Zawahiri?

Neither facts that the Taliban is currently harboring terrorists, and clearly lied when promised they would not do so, should be a shock to anyone. So what now? Do we keep playing whack-a-terrorist with drones forever? What other options do we have?

Great question -- staying the course kinetically is easy, but it will be a multigenerational social/economic effort to "win" the war on ideology. The children over there will need to live in a world where they see that they and their kids/grandkids have a future not dependent on medieval ways

Interesting... i think i recall a conversation on this forum where I expressed that this was going to happen when we pulled out and I was sand blasted about being wrong and not knowing what I was talking about... OKAY, I am done being a baby about it now, just had a little laugh.
But I 100% agree with what SFC Kelly Fuerhoff stated in their response... we would only hurt the people of Afghanistan, the Taliban does not care nor will they respond to the U.S. And spot on with saying the Afghan people need to step up!

None. It's not like the Taliban are producing anything or having diplomatic relations with a vast majority of the world.
