Im stationed in korea my first tour i have 3 minths left until i pcs. I am really eager to deploy and want to go to a deployable unit. My luck hrc put me on a pending assignment the RTB at Benning and its a tradoc unit. Is there anyway i can get out of going to this tradoc unit and go to a different one.

Call branch manager request a change. Not sure if it still works but it is how i changed my orders in the past.

This is a hard one with the manning cycle PFC (Join to see). Due to your rank, and heck even at mine these days, it is about MOS and the supply and demand system. it is nothing personal, but the Army needs to have you serve where they need you. Me too! You can try to contact your branch NCO, but they may just tell you something very similar to what I have just stated. Good Luck, hope it helps.

I have heard of submitting a 4187 to try and change your next unit. Also i had plenty of options when i last contacted branch. Now i saw i was set for benning wondered why. And branch said thats the only thing available. Which i know is bs
