I suffered an injury at Camp Ripley in 1999, was sent to St Gabriel hospital , Follow up xrays at Wright Patterson. How do I get records? This injury has came back to haunt me. I need to be able to obtain these medical records and unsure how. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you are no longer serving, your records should have gone to national archives - contact information available at https://www.archives.gov/veterans/military-service-records/medical-records.html
If you are still serving you need to complete a SF 180 and send to the appropriate POC listed on the last page - https://www.med.navy.mil/Portals/62/Documents/BUMED/NMRA/standard-form-180.pdf?ver=iJV67EQuFlhMn7WFdBvEtg%3d%3d

Thank you Major Bethany. I was able to log into the archives and they sent me an immediate confirmation, that they received my request. I really didn't know where to start on this that's why I reached out for help, and your's was much appreciated.

PFC Martin Cruz you don't have to submit a FOI request to get your own medical records. PO3 Bill Latimer if the hospital doesn't have records that far back try: https://www.archives.gov/veterans/military-service-records

I would write directly to the records section at the Wright-Pat hospital for starters. Include as much info as possible regarding dates and circumstances. See what they say and go from there. . . .
