I received an email from HRC saying I'm on assignment to Bahrain. I checked my STP. It said Manama, Bahrain. I checked FMSWEB. FMSWEB said it's a DLA assignment with more officers than warrants, and enlisted. It appears I would be the only 92A Sergeant there. What would the work day consist of for a 92A Sergeant or 92A in general? What is life like in Bahrain?

Assuming the "DLA assignment in Manama, Bahrain" is the DLA Distribution Center in Manama, Bahrain, it will be one of those "Echelons above reality" type assignments (DLA Distribution Bahrain is the theater-level supply distribution point for the CENTCOM AOR).

Unless you stumble across someone that just came from that, or a similar position, I suggest you do some 'web sleuthing' and follow-up with your sponsor (if one hasn't reached out to you, should reach out to the unit and get one).

Again, on the assumption it's the DLA Distribution Center, some places to get you pointed in the right direction:
● DLA main page for DLA Distribution sites - https://www.dla.mil/Distribution/
● Specific info about DLA Distribution Bahrain (including contact info) - https://www.dla.mil/Distribution/Locations/Bahrain.aspx
● The official DLA Distribution Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/DLADistribution
● The Naval Support Activity Bahrain's website (DLA Distribution Bahrain is a tenant activity on the NSA Bahrain installation) - https://cnreurafcent.cnic.navy.mil/Installations/NSA-Bahrain/
● Military OneSource page for NSA Bahrain - https://installations.militaryonesource.mil/military-installation/naval-support-activity-bahrain

Thank you for the advice and links sir. I've started looking into the DLA Website and will continue to do so. Yes it is the distribution center in Manama.

I've been to Bahrain, that's a great assignment. Expensive but good and travel to the middle east, Greece and Turkey on your off time is doable.

I loved it there, but that was 40 years ago, so I'm sure lots has changed. Now an Air Force flier on a ship was a different issue :-))

Expect a chill tempo. As a 92A, it’ll mostly be supply accountability, inventories, and keeping the logistics flowing, same core stuff, just smaller scale. Life in Bahrain’s pretty relaxed, think clean base, solid chow, good Wi-Fi, and easy access to gyms and beaches. Off-duty life’s decent too, just stay smart with curfew and local laws.

Thanks for the insight SSG. By the way...Do you know what the unit patch is? I can't find it. All I see is morale patches.

SGT (Join to see) - You'll wear the "U.S. Army Personnel In DOD and Joint Activities" patch (yes, that's actually its name), NSN 8455-01-660-4024.
