The Arab League has promised military support to Libya in the fight against ISIL but has not yet responded to requests for air strikes. This is a good step to get more local/regional involvement or "ownership" of the war. My question is do we have the right mix of nations involved? What are some risks of involving more regional powers in the conflict?

Is this just talk without the action? I hope not. It looks like we may be there for a very long time. Can we afford this?

SCPO David Lockwood I hope not as well. I'm hoping the regional powers can help to stabilize the region in a way we cannot. We will always be viewed as outsiders, and although there is plenty of animosity locally, it seems the populace would be more willing to support them in the efforts than us.

Arab League = Egypt, in this case. Probably some monetary support from the gulf states.
Egypt has had some issues with ISIS operations inside it's territory, and would like to take the fight to their bases of support in east and south Libya. Nothing altruistic about this move. Just practical thinking.

1SG (Join to see) makes sense but I'll still welcome their support.

About time the Arab League woke up to this problem. All of those gilded thrones they sit on are in real jeopardy if this group gets its way.
