Do you understand the difference between a tab and a scroll?

The tab is just to school, the Scroll is a way of life!!!!

Those who think they are special because of a patch, badge, tab or any other fancy little trinket they wear on their uniform, they are part of what's wrong with the Army. Everyone wears this patch and when you break it down, it's the only one that really matters.

It has nothing to do with thinking you are special. But when you earned your badges at some point you felt you had accomplished something great. I am not belittling anything the two woman did, it is great they earned their Ranger Tabs, I am merely stating the difference in a unit and a school.

When I went to RIP (now called RASP I believe), I wanted that scroll, the black beret, the black PT uniforms...the Regiment and scroll signified excellence in infantry training. You anticipated the tab and knew Ranger School would come...but the scroll is what we were seeking. Unless you've been behind those privacy fences you wouldn't understand.
