I found out my MOS actually has open slots for active duty, however, I would have to be reduced back down to E-4. Is it worth it?

All depends if you're up to the challenge and that is the goal you want to pursue. Competition on both the O & E sides of the house are going to be fierce for rank advancement. They are still going to be taking in new soldiers while drawing down so you'll be competing against them as well. I have a feeling it will be no holds barred so everything from PT to marksmanship to education points are going to be taken into account when you're computing the points and going for the board.

It's a tough decision bc as we all know, it's virtually impossible to go from the Reserves to Active Duty. I would love to go AD, but I don't know if I want to deal with being a SPC again after working so hard to make SGT.
