AEA M and "No Train." Why hasn't the M code gone away?

Soldier was accepted by proponent of the MOS he wanted, the contract was done and confirmed and Soldier was reclassed, now his AEA Code is still M (I don't have retain access just curious if anyone else has ever had this issue)
AEA M as far as I know is HRC Exclusive and though I know it is tied into RETAIN somehow... I don't have access so I don't know.
But the soldier has not only reenlisted but has also completed the Reclassification Action. So now I am just confused on why it may not have changed yet.

The M code should be lifted as long as the SM has received Assignment Instructions. If not its a hotline to HRC to remove it.

Because the M code prevents the SM branch from placing them on assignment as you are working with them.

SFC, we finished and everything is confirmed and he's been reclassed.
My Senior CC told me it can take up to 7 days. We'll see what happens.
What I THINK the issue may be since it was a "No Training Required" reclassification there was no school date, and because HRC had changed his MOS for us the system (retain, edas, emilpo) all haven't had their weekly pow wow and they are confused.
In any case was really just curious as to why this happened, something I'll have to make sure I keep an eye out for in the future.

I hope this is the same technical jargon you use when you explain it to people. Somewhere at the mothership there is a hamster spinning it's wheel and a room full of monkeys doing calculations on a board to get these Army systems updated.
Usually when you see an M code, and the SM is not in a COMP status, it's a glitch where the L code failed to trigger.
