Sleep. When not sleeping, mess with the people who are.

I was a Grunt Corpsman, so I mostly checked Marines that had complaints, then sleep.

Smoke-em if you got-em, hang loose, don't get lost, stand-by, take a breck, no pocket pool, wait for instructions, and keep your heads out of your Ying Yang!

I remember hurry up and wait on Okinawa in 63. We were sitting in the bed of a deuce and a half waiting to go to the ammo dump during the monsoon season. After several minutes we were soaking wet. I think it was done on purpose because some of our enlistments were up. We were rotating back to the states for discharge. After 4yrs that was our farewell present from the Marine Corp. Semper Fi.
