The air forces has always wanted to be air to air they don’t like the close air support role they want that new and shiny aircraft. I’m all for bringing back the army air core. That way we can cater to our needs as getting aircraft that fit the close air support role that fall under our command. (this next part I do not have personal experience in but my buddy’s do that I have talked about this issue before) I feel like it could element some of the issues with adding extra personnel into teams/units we can train our own combat air controllers and integrate them into our units like we do with our mortar men

The whole thing seems to remind me of the C-130 AMP for some reason.

"retire the A-10 fighter jet" .....

I think the reason they want to retire it is because it doesn't have an F designation.

That said, I want to design the all new, F/A-10Z Stealth "fighter" which will be a multi-purpose CAS Air-to-ground Fighter Jet. As a bonus "Feature" it will employ the same "Technology" currently used on the F35 which takes it out of "Stealth" mode when its main guns are active, but as an added bonus, it will also take it our stealth when the guns are in Inactive mode in preparation of CAS Air-to-Ground fighter operations. This will save the taxpayers several million dollars per unit.
